Our TQtogether charity initiative, 60 miles in 60 days event has come to a close and we are delighted to announce that we have raised £9,563.50 in aide of the British Heart Foundation, a charity we chose to support in memory of our much-loved and missed colleague, Mark Ayliffe.

In total between 1st April and 30th May, we walked, ran, cycled and swam 12,879 miles. Our goal was to collectively travel the distance from our Toronto team to our Sydney office, stopping off at each of the other eight TrustQuay offices along the way. We didn’t quite make it, getting within touching distance of the Australian coastline, but still a massive achievement from the TrustQuay team.

William Ham, Fundraising Manager at the British Heart Foundation comments:

"On behalf of the whole British Heart Foundation, please thank everyone at TrustQuay for their outstanding commitment to the 60/60 challenge.  We appreciate the dedication it takes to clock up miles of distance for a charity challenge outside of your busy work and family lives.

A little competitive spirit was also added to the event, with league tables in each category. Special mentions go to Andy Hearse (one of our product owners) who walked over 600 miles in the 60 days and Jeremy Williams (one of our business consultants) who cycled almost 1,300 miles!

We are delighted and proud of the amount of money we have raised for this great cause. The collective distance travelled by all involved is a fantastic achievement and we would like to take the opportunity to thank the whole TrustQuay team who took part and everyone who donated to this worthwhile cause.
