We welcomed our 2020 graduates this week. With the lockdown easing in the UK where our Head Office is based, we managed to welcome them in person in a socially distanced manner - something we felt important for the first day of their professional working lives

Three graduates have joined us this year, with two starting their career on our core business programme and another within our development team. These programmes have proven to be a great success with our 2019 intake of graduates and we felt strongly we wanted to continue despite the pressures of COVID-19.

The first day is always an interesting mix between picking up your laptop versus meeting the Chairman and getting a briefing on our products, customers and markets. They also received their TrustQuay goody bag of notepad, pens, polo shirt and assorted other items. Their journey with us started just as our merger was announced, so it was great to also take them through our recent rebrand as part of introducing the business.

In their own words:

ErykEryk, Junior Support Consultant graduate at TrustQuay, said, “I must admit that TrustQuay fulfilled all my expectations and I am extremely happy to start my professional journey here. Everyone was so helpful and very open. Of course, there is a massive amount of information being thrown at us, which does feel a bit overwhelming, but I think that this way we will learn everything much quicker and be useful to the team and the company as soon as possible. To be completely fair, I don’t really know how the 8 hours passed today, which can only indicate how much of excitement it was, and I’m really looking forward to learn some more tomorrow.

Suzanne, Junior Product Owner graduate, said about her first day, Starting a graduate scheme amidst the coronavirus situation is a hugely daunting yet exciting prospect. I am very grateful to the TrustQuay team for the huge effort that they made to enable us to firstly start on the scheme, and secondly make it possible for us to attend the office in a COVID secure manner for our first day and induction. Meeting key faces in person was hugely beneficial, and the various induction sessions gave an excellent overview of TrustQuay’s structure, products and markets. I feel very privileged to be joining as a Junior Product Owner at such an exciting time for the company and am very much looking forward to grasping every opportunity and growing my career at TrustQuay.”
