TQtogether - A TrustQuay initiative to give a helping hand

Written by Anna Field | 22/03/21 10:06

TrustQuay are excited and proud to announce a new charity initiative focused on giving back to the communities in which we operate around the globe. An initiative of this sort is a first for TrustQuay and will be led and driven forward by the staff, and with the current global pandemic, this help and support will prove to be more important than ever.

The name of the initiative, ‘TQtogether, giving a helping hand’ came about through a staff competition with a donation made to the winner’s charity of choice. It was officially kicked off in January 2021, with great progress made thus far.

The TQtogether committee, together with the assistance from the staff, have selected 5 charity organisations to support throughout 2021. Two of the charity organisations are in memory of a staff member who we sadly lost at the end of 2020, Mark Ayliffe, and were selected by his family.

  • British Heart Foundation (in memory of Mark Ayliffe) (UK)
  • Alzheimer’s Society (in memory of Mark Ayliffe) (International)
  • Phillips Footprints (Jersey)
  • Fleet Pond Society (UK)
  • Majulah Movement (Singapore)

We are excited to introduce our first TQtogether charity event in aid of British Heart Foundation, 60 miles in 60 days, to be launched on 1 April 2021. This event will encourage staff to walk, run, cycle or swim the 60-mile distance over the 60 days. Further details and updates will be provided over the coming weeks.

In conjunction with the launch of the TQtogether initiative, TrustQuay will be implementing a ‘Donate a Day to Charity’ policy where staff will be given a free day to volunteer or spend time working with a charity or community drive of their choice.

We look forward to sharing more news about our TQtogether events through our blog and social media.
