Despite the majority of our office staff continuing to work at home, we still wanted to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning, albeit virtually, to raise money for this important cause and for us all to take a break from our busy work schedules.

Last Friday, we held our virtual coffee morning, inviting everyone to bring along their homemade treats. The coffee morning gave our employees the opportunity to show off their baking skills and share the recipes they used. Some of the bakes made by the team included orange and coconut bites, scones, coffee and walnut cake, and shortbread.

The virtual Coffee Morning also included ‘A Baker’s Dozen’ Quiz which was a baking themed quiz and ‘Colin’s Conundrum’ where we were trying to guess how many sprinkles are on a Colin the Caterpillar cake! For the curious, it is 937 and the closest was our IT Manager Chris Pugh with 979.

The Coffee Morning proved very popular amongst the team and was enjoyed thoroughly, bringing a sense of normality and sociability even with the coronavirus still very much a part of our lives. All while raising money for a very important cause.
